Kahuku Community Association Supports Envision Lā‘ie Process
In a letter to the director of the Department of Planning and Permitting, the Kahuku Community Association reported that its board voted 6 to 2 in “favorable support” of Envision Lā‘ie. The letter stated that the board “further decided:”
That the Envision Lā‘ie plan, a community based plan, is timely and appropriate to be included in the updating of the Ko’olau Loa Sustainable Community Plan.
That the Department of Planning and Permitting include in its plan Envision Lā‘ie’s proposed housing unit count which addresses pent-up demand, future growth demand and a more equitable household size in Ko’olau Loa.
We’d like to thank the Kahuku Community Association Board of Directors for, as the letter says, “many hours” of work to support “an on-going objective to provide for rural family sustainability.”
