HRI overseeing construction of new homes
Six new, single-family rental homes are coming soon to our community. The rental home project, being overseen by land manager Hawaii Reserves, Inc., calls for the houses to be located on three lots just south of the Laie Shopping Center, mauka of Kamehameha Highway.
The houses will all be single-story with a two car garage, and range in under roof square footage from 1,850 to 2,150. Five of the homes will have three bedrooms, while one home will include four bedrooms. Local firm, Honsador, performed the architecture and design of the units.

The six new homes will be built two per lot. Two of the lots are currently vacant, while the third lot contains an unoccupied dwelling that will soon be removed.
The construction work has been awarded to locally-based firm, Amano Construction, which is the general contractor for the project. Some of the foundational footing work has already begun, and all six units are expected to be completed by the end of this Summer.

Eric Beaver, president of Hawaii Reserves, said, “We’re pleased that there will more rental inventory in Laie to help address some of the pent-up demand for housing in our community.”
Anyone interested in renting from HRI may stop by its office in the Laie Shopping Center and complete a Rental Application. After the application is completed, potential tenants are placed on a waiting list; once a unit becomes available for rent, HRI will contact the next interested applicant on the list to complete the rental review process.
